Overall goal for this programme is to improve reading culture among people of West Nile by establishing community Libraries equipped with essential books for all categories of the population. The categories of books are in line with science, technology, Arts, design, politics, world geography, life skills to space science among others.

Key Activities of the project;

  • Shipment of essential books from USA.
  • Identify and train of Community Librarians
  • Establish community libraries in communities, schools, Prisons and Refugees settlements across West Nile.
  • Hold regular meetings with Local Government Key stakeholders on good management and use of the Libraries.
  • Provision of bookshelves for selected established libraries across districts.
  • Link and network.
