Overall Objective:
Improved food and income securities; and nutritional status of the poor children, youth, women smallholder farmers and other vulnerable people in Zombo, Nebbi and Pakwach Districts. Through multi-sectorial and coordinated interventions such as secure and equal access to land, climate SMART agriculture, financial services, value addition, markets and non-farm employment.


- Carry out sensitization meetings on Climate SMART agriculture, food security and nutrition.
- Facilitate the target smallholders’ farmers on enterprise selection based on climate resilient crops, food security and nutrition.
- Design and produce a tailor made training and facilitation guide.
- Conduct training on production and management of the selected enterprises.
- Identify/select members of the group to undergo training on basic extension services.
- Select and train community nutrition monitors to support, supervise, document and report on nutritional trends in selected households and the community.
- Provide/Link the target beneficiaries to financial institutions/government and NGO Programmes for startup capital.
- Procure farm inputs and implements (spray pumps, agro inputs, quality seeds, crops and animal drugs, feeds, motorized mobile solar power irrigation facilities, Ox-plough and oxen ) to support smallholders farmers in quality and bulk production.
- Support the groups to bulk/brand for joint market and marketing.
- Facilitate the target smallholder farmers’ to establish and operate saving, credit and investment clubs as an income security initiative.
- Facilitate the target smallholder farmers’ to register their Land under the government programme of systematic demarcation on Certificate of customary ownership.
- Establish a smallholder farmer’s platform through which they can influence policies and process that directly impact on their livelihood and incomes
