Overall Objective:
Empowered, Productive and self-reliant youth with employable skills in relevant fields; and effectively contributing to national growth, development and youth employment efforts.
- Conducted needs assessment/ talent identification and career guidance sessions with the youth in and out of school.
- Designed a tailor-made training curriculum based on talent and needs identified.
- Established an informal training, career guidance & role modeling center in Arua, Zombo, Nebbi and Pakwach Districts.
- Conducted a 3-12 month specialized training in Phone and Electronic appliances repairs and maintenance, Film making, audio and video production, MDD, entrepreneurship & Business Development, events management and hospitality, hairdressing and cosmetology among others.
- Attached trainees to prominent businesses/enterprises for practical skills, knowledge, insights & experiences.
- Organized quarterly prospective employers/mentors/employees’ platforms to engage on Jobs prospects, best practices and opportunities within public and private sectors.
- Offered Hands-on learning opportunity, knowledge, insights & experiences for undergraduates and graduates at LICO School of experiences on 3-6-month placement basis.
- Established and ran mentorship clubs at university, tertiary and secondary schools targeting students of Northern Uganda and refugees.
