There were 3 projects implemented which included:
1) Peace building in secondary schools- activities implemented were:
- Trained students and school administrators on alternative to violence project (AVP),
- Run peace clubs in selected schools of West Nile districts.
- Organized students’ annual peace camps.
- Organized music dance and drama festivals.
- Organized and conducted public speaking/policy debates among others.
2.Collaborative Wild Life and Forest Resource Management- activities included;
- Trained and sensitized communities surrounding Murchison Falls National Park and Lendu Forest Plantation on importance of wild life and Forests.
- Trained selected community members on mediation and dialogue skills.
- Conducted stakeholders’ planning and implementation meetings.
- Formed community messenger for peace as link between the community and authorities managing the resources.
3. Non Violent and peaceful local and national elections- activities included:
- Conducting of Inter-party dialogue meetings.
- Conducting training of party leaders on non-violent communication skills and diversity.
