Peace building in secondary schools and access to justice with focus on women land rights. Overall goals of the projects: G1. To strengthen the capacity of the traditional leaders to effectively administer justice to vulnerable women and youth in pursuit of their land rights in Nebbi District. G2. To strengthen the Institutional and community peace building mechanisms through active community and schools participation for sustainable peace and development in West Nile.

Key activities implemented were:

  1. Trained and sensitized the target groups on governance, accountability, human rights, laws and policies.
  2. Held quarterly community dialogue meetings between the right holders and duty bearers on emerging community concerns.
  3. Trained targeted groups on livelihood and entrepreneurship skills.
  4. Organized women small farmers into advocacy groups; and equipped them with advocacy tool for an increased financing for agriculture.
