RE: INVITATION TO PARTICIPATE IN PROJECT INCEPTION MEETING
Back ground
Life Concern (LICO) has been implementing a two years Climate Justice project titled; Stand for Climate Justice (SCJ) in selected Lower Local Governments of Zombo district since 2024. The project which ended in March 2026 has been implemented in the following local governments; Nyapea and Athuma sub counties. The main focus was the protection of Nyagak River due to its importance in the generation of Hydro-electricity for West Nile region.
After a successful implementation of SCJ-1, the funding partner organization opened up another window of application for a successor project. LICO applied, her application was evaluated and approved under the title; Stand for Climate Justice 11 Project. A contract of implementation was then signed effective on 1st May 2026 for two years until May 2028.
Objectives of the inception meeting: –
- To inform selected stakeholders about the project detail activities.
- To enable stakeholders, know their roles in the project implementation process.
- To Share experiences from the past implementation, lesson learnt and agree on the way
- To jointly fore see the challenges which may be encountered during implementation and seek views on possible solutions.
Activity period, venue and time: – Half day of Friday 28th August 2026. From 9:00am to 1:00pm in Zombo district headquarters.
Modes of delivery: – Lead facilitator, oral presentation, questions and answers, comments and feedback sessions.
